We've worked with the crew at Dowie Doole for some time now but this is extra exciting!  Set in the middle of their 53 hectare vineyard in McLaren Vale is their new Tasting Pod, a sustainable shipping container cellar door to match their belief in the best way to make wine - Sustainably! And we've been along for the ride! Capturing all the action of this build and editing it into this great time lapse video. We've loved seeing and capturing the great work of architects Scholz Vinall and builder Custom Built Projects  who helped make Dowie Doole's dreams become a reality. Event photography for The Business SA annual Export Awards gala dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre. More than 500 people attended this premier event, recognising 16 of the state's most dynamic and innovative businesses which are excelling in the international marketplace.

We did the event photography and video of  the South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards (formally known as the South Australian Food Industry Awards) has been helping SA food and beverage businesses raise their profiles, both within Australia and Internationally for the past 20 years and we’ve loved helping them do it. 

A few weeks back James had the pleasure of spending a week sponsoring, riding and supporting the 2018 Road Raise. A yearly event where a bunch of passionate people spend 7 days riding from Adelaide to Melbourne (the long way) to raise money for CanTeen, in turn helping young people effected by cancer. This year the JKTP got involved to help these guys build up the profile of the event and take it to the next level. 

Founded in 2015 and presented for the 3rd year running by Duncan Basheer Hannon this event had previously been capturing it’s journeys with the help of its support crew, riders, family and friends snapping pics on their personal cameras and phones …. but riders taking phone photos while they peddle isn’t necessarily the safest idea. So this year we stepped it up for them! Shooting with the Canon 5d Miii DSLR, C100 Video camera and 3 go pros – one clamped behind my seat, one on the handlebars and another on a selfie stick (only used once when I finally decided to get in a pic …. and then got totally paid out for using it!). The go pro’s were also used to do video interviews with the riders while they were riding, and of course it was a bit more fun to do this while they were riding up hill! But we were also nice and on some occasions waited till we pulled up for our lunch and shot some with the video camera. 

This years event raised a whopping $250k!! Not bad for a bunch of bank employees, owners of a hotel, parents and even a reality tv show talent hey! Yep this group of people were all from different walks of life with only one thing in common – Cancer! They either have it in their life in some way, are passionate about supporting young people dealing with it and they all hate it! Not all these guys were serious cyclists either, in fact only about a third of them were, but I can tell you they were all definitely pro’s at raising funds for a really worthwhile cause! Can’t wait to see what they achieve next year!
